Surf, windsurf, water ski, kneeboard, tubing, kayak and other watersports toys. When winter storms are happening far to the
north, they generate large waves on the north-facing beaches and the
BVI really goes off. Most people surf around
Tortola,
but we know a few other, totally uncrowded, secret spots. For you wind
powered riders, you can have it all: steady trade-winds with clear flat and protected warm
water which is also great for the tow behind watersports.

With water
this
clear, you'll want to jump in and see what's down there. The
easiest way is snorkeling. If you can swim and breathe, then you're
set. We have all the gear and can help beginners get started. For a
real workout, try some free-diving. Like scuba diving without tanks,
free-diving makes you feel like a really big fish. We use weights to
max out bottom time for the more advanced people. You'll need to be in
decent shape, hold your breath while swimming for at least a minute and
be able to equalize your ear pressure pretty fast. Scuba diving is available from the boat as well. |
